Uses
Cryptolepsis sanguinlenta is a vine-like plant. It is rich in an alkaloid Cryptolepine which was originally used to treat malaria. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, studies around the years 2020 and 2021 showed Cryptolepine had remarkable effects against the coronavirus. This prompted the FDA authority in Ghana to approve it for clinical trials.

Caution: Do not use in men or women if trying to conceive as it has anti-fertility effects
