Even though it is used mainly as a supportive treatment for glaucoma. [IT SHOULD NOT BE USED ALONE TO TREAT GLAUCOMA]. Studies have shown that it can reduce ocular pressure in the eye. But this effect lasts only for 1 hour. It would have to be taken 24 times daily to be effective! This is not practical. So do not use it except as supportive therapy only.
