Also, it is called Agbalumo in the Yoruba language or Udara in the Igbo language. It is a seasonal fruit, mostly available during the dry season. Irvingia gabonensis is also known as African bush mango. The Igbos call it Ogbono, and it is used to make a delicious slimy soup called Ogbono soup.
